SUMMARY:Professional Care Workers’ Week 2025: Hearing from Care Workers
DESCRIPTION:The Care Workers’ Charity proudly invites you to Professional Care Workers’ Week (PCWW) 2025\, celebrating its eighth year of recognising the vital contributions of care workers across the UK. This year’s event\, co-produced with our amazing Care Worker Advisory Board\, promises to bring frontline voices directly into the conversation\, spotlighting the real experiences and insights of the Adult Social Care workforce.  \nRunning from Friday 12th – Friday 20th September\, PCWW 2025 will feature a series of in person events and free virtual panels and information sessions led by care workers and with care managers\, and influential figures from across the sector. These sessions are free and accessible to all\, offering opportunities for learning\, collaboration\, and advocacy from anywhere in the UK.  \nHow You Can Get Involved  \nWe encourage participation from everyone—both within and beyond the care sector—by:  \n\nAttending our insightful virtual sessions. \nRaising funds to support care workers. \nOrganising local events to celebrate and honour colleagues in your workplace or community. \n\nWhy “Professional” Matters  \nThe term “Professional” is central to PCWW\, as it highlights the skilled and essential nature of care work. Despite their critical roles\, care workers often face challenges such as low pay\, inconsistent training\, and high turnover\, with 152\,000 vacancies in the sector each day. It’s time to change this narrative.  \nProfessionalisation is about:  \n\nAcknowledging the diverse skills and expertise of care workers. \nOffering fair wages and pay progression in line with training and responsibilities  \nProviding clear career pathways and professional development. \nRecognising the immense societal value of care workers. \n\nFor those receiving care\, professionalisation brings trust\, safety\, accountability\, and transparency. Professional Care Workers’ Week is not just a celebration; it’s a movement to elevate the status of care workers\, showcase their achievements\, and foster best practice sharing across the UK.  \nJoin us in making PCWW 2025 an event to remember!

SUMMARY:Together We Care: Celebrate the Stories of Care Workers This August
DESCRIPTION:Care work is about so much more than just a job—it’s about compassion\, dedication\, and creating meaningful connections. This August\, we’re celebrating care workers and the extraordinary difference they make every day. \nJoin Us in Three Simple Ways: \n\nShare a Story: Submit your personal experiences or stories about care workers who’ve made a difference in your life. Help us highlight their incredible work.\nCreate a Memory Box: Capture memories\, photos\, or mementoes that honour the care workers who’ve touched your life.\nRaise Awareness: Use your voice to shine a spotlight on the care sector by sharing our campaign and encouraging others to support care workers.\n\nWhy Your Participation Matters\n\nCare workers are the backbone of our society\, yet they often go unrecognised for their contributions. By participating in “Together We Care\,” you’ll help The Care Workers’ Charity provide financial assistance\, mental health support\, and a platform to amplify their stories. \nTogether\, we can show care workers that their efforts matter and their stories are heard. Let’s make August a month of gratitude\, connection\, and community.
